Senior Community Planner

Bolton & Menk, Inc.

St. Cloud/Duluth, MN United States

Bolton & Menk is seeking a Senior Planner to join our growing Urban & Community Planning team. In this role, you'll help shape the future of communities by leading complex planning projects, serving as a trusted advisor to clients, and mentoring the next generation of planning professionals.

As a Top Workplace, this is a unique opportunity to collaborate with a talented, supportive team and make a lasting difference in the communities we serve. With over 75 years of experience, Bolton & Menk specializes in providing community infrastructure solutions across the Midwest, Southeast, and beyond.

What You Will Be Doing:

As a Senior Planner, you'll lead planning projects from concept through implementation while serving as a trusted advisor to clients and project teams. You'll manage a variety of initiatives including land use planning, comprehensive planning, development review, entitlements, policy development, and community engagement, providing strategic recommendations that help communities make informed decisions.

You'll work closely with clients, public officials, developers, and stakeholders by leading presentations, facilitating meetings, and guiding public engagement efforts to build consensus and advance projects. You'll also help strengthen our planning practice through staff mentorship, technical review, business development, and proposal support.

Consulting offers exceptional variety. One day you may be leading a comprehensive plan, and the next facilitating community engagement, evaluating development opportunities, or collaborating with engineers and landscape architects on transformative projects.

At Bolton & Menk, planners do more than write reports. You'll have a seat at the table, help shape project strategy, and collaborate across disciplines to solve complex community challenges. As an employee-owner, you'll be part of a culture that values your voice, invests in your growth, and recognizes your contributions while making a lasting impact on the communities we serve.
