Location: Golden Rule Building, Downtown Saint Paul, MN (up to 50% remote work authorized)

Travel: Requires up to 25% travel, in-state and out-of-state

 

Job Summary

Energy Infrastructure and Reliability Analysts serve Minnesotans by evaluating major energy infrastructure proposals and technical regulatory filings to develop Minnesota Department of Commerce positions before the Minnesota Public Utilities Commission. The position will work closely with other analysts in a collaborative team setting and will also work directly with the public and eternal stakeholders.

Responsibilities include:

  • Analyzing and developing recommendations for energy infrastructure and related certificate of need dockets;
  • Evaluating and developing recommendations for environmental review documents;
  • Assessing compliance with applicable statutes, rules, and Commission orders and developing clear, well-supported recommendations;
  • Presenting technical findings and advocating for Department positions in public meetings and work groups;
  • Advocating for Minnesota's public interest at regional and national energy organizations.
