HKGi is seeking an energetic, detailed-oriented planner with at least 2 years of relevant planning experience to contribute to a variety of projects, including comprehensive planning, park plans, trail plans, area/corridor studies, and assisting communities with development review. This position will require extensive use of GIS and regularly representing projects, clients, and HKGi at community engagement events.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field, Master’s degree a plus
- Interest in and proficiency with GIS
- At least 2 years of direct planning experience in a community or a consulting firm
- Interest in working on a range of projects in a collaborative environment
- Detail oriented with writing, analytical, and presentation skills
- Experience in virtual and in-person community engagement strategies
- Local or willing to move to the Twin Cities
- Willing to travel in the Midwest region
- Proficient in MS Office
- Proficiency in or ability to quickly become proficient in Adobe Suite programs including InDesign

Salary and Benefits
Anticipated hiring range is $60,000 to $80,000. Salary will be based on applicant’s qualifications and experience.
