Mid-Level to Senior Planner and Project Manager

HKGi is seeking a candidate to play a lead role in a variety of projects, including comprehensive planning, ordinance updates, development review assistance to communities, and small area/downtown/neighborhood studies. In this role, the candidate will perform such tasks as shaping community engagement, directing analytical tasks, drafting and reviewing project reports, and strategizing and conducting GIS analysis. This position will involve managing projects and direct engagement with communities.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in planning or related field. AICP certification a plus
- At least 6 years of direct planning experience in a community or a consulting firm
- Interested in working on a range of projects in a collaborative environment
- Able to manage the dual responsibility of managing and supporting projects
- Detail oriented with both writing and presentation skills
- Experienced in virtual and in-person community engagement strategies
- Local or willing to move to the Twin Cities
- Willing to travel in the Midwest region
- Proficient in MS Office and experienced with GIS (InDesign is a plus)

Salary and Benefits
Anticipated hiring range is $75,000 to $125,000. Salary will be based on applicant’s qualifications and experience.
