Assistant Planner

We are looking for a team player who has excellent customer service skills and is passionate about city planning! We are currently accepting applications for an Assistant Planner in our Community Development Department – Planning Division. Responsibilities include: gathering data related to land use, zoning and development activities; providing technical assistance to the development review process and compliance enforcement; assisting in the implementation of community development programs; working with special interest groups such as leading the sustainability advisory committee and more!

 

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in urban planning or a related field

 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Six months of professional planning experience (may include internship experience)
  • A valid driver’s license
  • GIS experience

  • Eligible for a hybrid work schedule (up to 2 days per week) after 6 months of successful City employment
