North Central Wisconsin Regional Planning Commission (NCWRPC) is searching for a highly motivated individual to become its newest staff member. The new planner will be part of a professional planning team serving the communities of north central Wisconsin.

This position will be responsible for a variety of tasks focused on economic development, community planning, and grant writing. The new Planner will work with towns, villages, cities, and counties to prepare various projects.

Applicant should have basic knowledge of economic development and planning principles and practice, familiarity with various state and federal programs, strong communication skills, computer proficiency, and be able to handle multiple tasks and projects. Ability to collect, analyze, and report data is critical.

A bachelor’s degree in business, economics, planning or a related field is required. Some professional experience, such as an internship, is desired. New graduates are encouraged to apply. The position requires occasional attendance at night meetings and some travel. Applicants must possess or obtain a Wisconsin Driver’s license.

The NCWRPC is a voluntary association of governments created in 1973 by Wisconsin Statute and serves Adams, Forest, Juneau, Langlade, Lincoln, Marathon, Oneida, Portage, Vilas and Wood Counties. See for more information about the organization.
